About me

I am a senior clinical psychologist with extensive experience of helping adults through a range of life challenges, emotional, psychological, and relational difficulties. I understand that anybody can experience distress and be impacted upon by challenges in life. Examples of issues that I have supported people with include the impact of adverse life experiences; attachment trauma; abuse; low self-esteem; anxiety; panic; phobias; OCD; low mood; depression; loss and grief; insomnia; stress; trauma; psychosis; interpersonal issues; living with chronic health conditions; being a carer; and issues around identity, for example.

I offer a compassionate and reflective space where we can work together to make sense of the experiences in your life, understand their impact, and find helpful ways to move forwards. My doctorate training has equipped me to draw upon a number of evidence-based psychological therapies so we can think together about which approach might fit well for you.

I understand that finding a therapist to speak with about personal issues might feel daunting, at the very least, so it is important that I am somebody who you feel safe and comfortable with. If you would like to see if we could work together, you are very welcome to email me to arrange a free 15-minute telephone consultation.

Areas of interest

I work with adults (aged 18+) with difficulties around: adverse life experiences; attachment trauma; abuse; low self-esteem; anxiety; panic; phobias; OCD; low mood; depression; loss and grief; insomnia; stress; trauma; psychosis; interpersonal issues; living with chronic health conditions; being a carer; and issues around identity, for example.

Whilst I am most practiced in using Compassion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I tend to draw on a range of therapeutic techniques and concepts that I have learned during my training and continued professional development.
