About me

Mr Ivo Dukic is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based in Birmingham with over 20 years of specialist experience in kidney stone surgery and general urology. Fellowship-trained at the Bristol Urological Institute, he provides high-volume, evidence-based care across four private hospital sites in the West Midlands � accepting both self-paying and insured patients, and welcoming national referrals for complex cases.

He sub-specialises in endourology, general urology, and health informatics. Endourology is the use of cameras (a minimally invasive approach) in urological surgery. He uses these cameras along with other technology, such as laser devices, to treat a wide variety of conditions, including kidney stones, enlarged prostate, ureteric cancer, and bladder cancer. He uses the latest technology to improve healthcare and is Deputy Chief Clinical Information Officer for University Hospitals Birmingham. He is a high-volume stone surgeon delivering expert stone care for Birmingham patients.

Mr Dukic performs around 50-60 PCNL procedures per year and has dedicated his practice to the surgical management of kidney stones. His reputation as a leading kidney stone surgeon in the UK is built on his expertise in complex cases and his mastery of advanced, minimally invasive techniques. He is a renowned specialist in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), including the ultra-modern mini-PCNL and ultra-mini PCNL procedures, which offer patients faster recovery times and reduced discomfort. He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2004 and completed his specialist urology training in the Manchester region in 2014. He then completed a prestigious fellowship at the Bristol Urological Institute in endourology and laparoscopic kidney surgery.

He is a strong advocate for patient education and believes that patients should be fully informed to make their own decisions about their diseases and treatment options. He regularly teaches national courses for trainees and is a member of the urology exit exam panel for Urology Training (FRCS Urol MCQ panel), and faculty for the National Urology Bootcamp.
