About me
I am a BACP registered and accredited psychodynamic
psychotherapist working from my private practice in Buntingford and I see children, adults and couples on a one to one basis for counselling and psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy and counselling is helpful for many emotional and psychological difficulties, as well as providing the opportunity for personal growth.
The therapy involves regular, weekly and confidential sessions, during which we can explore how your present and past experiences can influence current thought processes and patterns of behaviour.
Once we have met for the initial assessment, I can discuss with you a recommendation of approach.
This may be brief therapy of a fixed number of sessions or longer term work for deep seated and long standing difficulties. I am also able to offer CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), which is very beneficial for
OCD and anxiety related disorders.
Previously, I have been an assessor and counsellor at the Enfield
Counselling Service, a therapist for the Grief Encounter Organisation
where my work focused on bereavement; and a therapist working in schools, children's centres, hospitals and secure units.
I also work alongside the NHS creating opportunities for people, from deprived communities, to access mental health services
