At times persons from all areas of life will need the support of a counsellor when I crisis or when something may have happened to them that was totally out of their control.

Experience counts for very little if person coming into talking therapies is not fully heard and understood. Trust is the key ingredient to the development of confidential space where someone can feel safe allowing them along with the correct level of support to begin to address whatever needs to addressed in counselling.

Sometimes circumstances cause our mental health to change in some way. When our mental health is in a difficult place we often change our behaviour in order to cope in the short term or long term.
At times our behaviours can become part of the problem. This is an indication that we are not coping with our mental health. There can also be so many additional factors that aggravate our mental health.

Understanding how a person thinks and works is also an important ingredient in the counselling relationship. It is not unusual that when an effective counsellor blends the correct processes together resulting in a very quick transformation and empowering for a client.
