About me

Im Chris, an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for making effective therapy feel accessible and relatable. My approach is real, relaxed, and full of warmth and empathy. Whether you're battling anxiety, feeling inadequate, or just struggling to find your way, I'm here to navigate these challenges with you using a blend of evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and systemic concepts.

I have experience in general and specialised CAMHS services, as well as in adult mental health. My focus now has an emphasis on helping women and adolescents navigate the complexities of their mental health and the challenges they commonly face. These can include difficulties with self-worth, friendships, relationships and challenging life transitions. I often work with people who are struggling with anxiety and feeling unable to live their lives as fully and authentically as they would like. I strive to create a space where my clients feel heard, understood, and supported in their journey towards better mental health. My therapeutic techniques are chosen not just for their proven effectiveness but also for their ability to be adapted to each individual's unique circumstances and goals.

Alongside this, I also have a specialism in working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in both children and adults.

I offer an initial assessment period to explore your current difficulties and factors that may be contributing to these, as well as areas that are going well for you. Following this, I develop a formulation or framework to guide the therapy that will best support your needs. I am able to support people 1:1 and can involve parents, carers or other family members where this is thought to be helpful.
