About me
Dr Saoirse Dolly has served as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College NHS Trusts since 2019. Her academic journey includes the completion of a translational PhD in new cancer drug target discovery at the Institute of Cancer Research in 2013.
Following the completion of her specialist training in 2018, Dr Dolly was appointed as Medical Oncology Consultant at the Academic Health Centres of Guy's and St Thomas' and Kings College Hospitals. In recognition of her expertise and dedication to academia, she was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Science, King's College London, in 2021.
Dr Dolly is recognised as one of the few cancer consultants in the country with expertise in earlier and faster diagnosis of cancer and serious conditions. Her oncology experience includes the treatment of neuroendocrine, pancreatic, biliary and small bowel cancers.
Specialising in Rapid Diagnostics Services, Dr Dolly offers personalised clinical assessments and diagnostics to facilitate timely diagnoses. She provides comprehensive cancer treatment for patients with various tumour types, offering expert advice on management, anti-cancer treatment, and follow-up care.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Dolly's research interests include innovative approaches to earlier and faster cancer diagnosis, real-world evidence analysis to evaluate treatment effectiveness, and the impact of COVID-19 on cancer patients. She actively contributes to databases in neuroendocrine, pancreatic, biliary, and small bowel cancers, as well as a national registry for rare liver tumours.
