About me

Ms Aoife Naughton is a highly experienced, innovative ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon. She completed her Ophthalmology training at the Oxford Deanery in the UK. She has extensive training in oculoplastic surgery, having undertaken two prestigious specialist Oculoplastic Fellowships at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London, and at the Oxford Eye Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmologists and a Member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society.

She currently holds a substantive NHS Consultant post as Oculoplastic Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. She is active in oculoplastic research. She has presented extensively at national and international meetings, including the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Aoife won the award for �Best Surgical Video� at the Inaugural World Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery Conference in Dubai in 2023.

Aoife has a passion for teaching and seeks to cultivate and inspire surgical excellence, working to deliver safe surgical training in ophthalmology; and was instrumental in the set-up of a surgical simulation suite in Oxford, to train future generations of ophthalmic surgeons safely.
