About me
I am a consultant ENT Surgeon specialising in adult and paediatric ENT surgery. I have specialist interests in nasal disorders and childrens ENT problems. I am also co-chair of the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) specialising in early diagnosis of throat and thyroid cancer. My private practice covers a wide geographical area but mainly Swindon, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, Cirencester, West Berkshire and West Oxfordshire.
I undertook surgical training at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Royal Bristol Childrens Hospital with additional travelling fellowships to observe advanced surgical techniques in London and Atlanta, USA.
I am actively involved in training of ENT Surgeons and Education Lead for ENT at the Great Western Hospital. I have active involvement in teaching for local GPs and junior doctors, in addition to being a coach for the NHS South West Leadership Academy.
Areas of interest
Nose disorders (Rhinology): Blocked nose, nasal polyps, sinusitis, runny nose, nose bleeds, sinus pain, rhinophyma, functional septorhinoplasty/rhinoplasty.
Throat Conditions: Sore throat, tonsillitis, tonsillectomy, neck lumps, head and neck cancer diagnosis, snoring, swallowing problems, surgical management of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), tonsil stones, voice problems, submandibular (salivary gland) stones, submandibular gland removal, dry tickling cough.
Children's ENT: tonsils, adenoids, glue ear (grommets), hearing loss, neck lumps, sleep disordered breathing, snoring, mouth breathing, tongue tie, OSA.
Ear conditions: hearing loss, blocked ears, tinnitus, ear discharge, ear infections, ear pain, vertigo, ear wax.
Thyroid conditions: thyroid nodule, thyroid lump, thyroid cancer, thyroid goitre.
