About me

My passion is to empower you to understand, manage, and maximise you and your familys psychological wellbeing.

I am a Registered and Chartered Consultant Psychologist with 25 years' experience. I am registered, as required by UK Law, with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC); Registration Number PYL21743. I am a Psychologist Specialising in Psychotherapy (RoPSiP) as recognised by The British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am a Registered Expert Witness with the BPS. I provide reports to the family and crown courts, as well as parole boards, military courts, and mental health tribunals. I have received, and continue to receive further specific training in relation to this.
I am a senior lecturer in psychology and active in academia. I give guest lectures, I sit on ethic committees, and I direct and supervise research. I have made a number of media contributions for example to the BBC. I am cited in books and I am a published author in therapeutic programmes I have developed.

I hold a European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy). I am a Chartered Scientist (CSi). I am a member of the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I supervise other psychologists of all grades as well as provide consultancy to other professionals and organisation.

I have Enhanced Status with The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) verifying me to work with children and vulnerable adults. I continue to adhere to the standards of the BPS and the HCPC. I routinely engage in continuing professional development, supervision, and reflective practice.
In recognition for my length of service and contribution to psychology I am an Associate Fellow of the BPS (AFBPsS); BPS Registration Number 092426.

The reader is directed to my curriculum vitae for specific details of my professional development to date.

At the heart of my practice is an optimism that everyone has the capacity to utilise appropriate evidence based psychological techniques in order to grow and maximise our psychological wellbeing.
