About me
I'm a BACP accredited therapist with 8 years experience of counselling and psychotherapy. I have an MA in Integrative Counselling Psychotherapy and have offered therapy in Private Practice and in the Charity Sector, where I was also Clinical Lead for a London counselling service.
I'm an Integrative practitioner, which means I draw on several approaches in my way of offering therapy. Core to my approach is being client centred, which means I work with you, following your sense of what's important, though I will also offer questions and reflections to support you to understand and make sense of what you're bringing to therapy.
I aim to create a warm and safe space for us to explore what you're bringing to therapy. I will not advise or tell you what to do but will support you in finding your own understanding of your issues.
I draw on attachment theory, recognising the influence of early relationships and experiences on our current ways of being and relating to others, though when and whether we talk about the past will be up to you.
Areas of interest
anxiety; burnout; attachment and relationship issues; women's issues including health, relationships and life choices
