About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, with over 18 years of experience, working in private practice and public sector in the UK and Europe. I treat most psychological issues using conventional talking therapy and fast-acting techniques such as EMDR, Focusing, Mindfulness and CBT. In the last few years, I have gravitated towards the embodied therapeutic practices aimed at working with early and adult psycho-trauma and PTSD. I undergo private clinical supervision to deepen and integrate my theoretical understanding and to enhance the practical work with my clients. I also worked extensively as a resident psychologist in the not-for-profit sector, in Place2Be, AgeUK, Women's Centre and Counselling Initiatives.

In individual therapy I focus on identifying the core issue of any problem and target the root causes to help the nervous system re-wire more adaptive neural networks. Safety, respect, care and sincerity are the fundamental principles of my practice. As I can provide therapeutic intervention in English and Russian languages, recently, I have been working with the victims of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. My future academic interests lie in more trauma-informed treatment modalities, such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, Deep Brain Reorienting and other methods.
