About me
Many people come to therapy feeling low, anxious, or lost, and I offer a space to explore those feelings and identify opportunities for doing things differently. I am passionate about working with you to understand your experiences, your identity, and the most meaningful relationships in your life. Building a rich picture of who you are can help us make change in the areas that are important to you.
I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with a particular focus on values and identity. These include: Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and systemic approaches.
I have over a decade of experience working in NHS mental health and psychological services, and currently work as a Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist with adults and their families in a Major Trauma service. I work with a wide range of psychological experiences, such as low mood, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and many more. I have particular expertise with working with people with long-term physical health conditions and after sudden health events (e.g. traumatic injury, heart attack or cardiac arrest, COVID-19, etc.). In practice, this means I often work with people to understand and live alongside feelings of sadness, grief, loss, anxiety and shame.
