About me
Beverley is a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse who also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT from the Royal Holloway London in 2006. Beverley also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling 1998 from Swansea University.
Beverley is accredited by the BABCP, and is also an SEN (M) RMN, and a member of Nursing and Midwifery Council.
In addition to being a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Beverley has additional qualifications and training in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Clinical Supervision.
Beverley has over 30 years� experience of working in an NHS Primary and Secondary care Psychological Therapies Team as well as working in the private sector, and Employee Assistance Schemes.
Beverley has a particular interest and experience in the treatment of PTSD, trauma, OCD, Low self- esteem, Depression and other Anxiety related disorders. Her approach is often directive and goal-oriented, helping the clients to find not only emotional relief but also practical solutions to their problems. Collaborative work is essential.
As part of her work Beverley offers Zoom/Teams and telephone counselling sessions for clients who find it too difficult to attend due to distance or work timetables. I also offer supervision to individual students in training or individuals who are qualified as a CBT therapist.
