About me

Therapy is not just about having someone to talk to: used effectively, it�s a powerful process for change. But sometimes that transformation can be a painful one. This is why if you decide you�d like to work with me, we shall do so in a way that is best suited for your specific needs, as we are all different. In a safe and comfortable environment, I will encourage you to explore your feelings and develop solutions that are right for you, but with emphasis on adapting emotions as a conduit for that all-important change. Although mainly talk therapy, we may include such gentle yet proven techniques such as mindfulness or, in some cases, if appropriate - hypnosis.

As a generalist, much of my work spans issues such as anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, however, my particular interest lies with couples and relationship problems where I favour the ground-breaking emotionally-focussed technique (EFT) and using attachment styles. Bereavement is another interest close to my heart. I was privileged to have a training placement for 18 months with Pilgrims Hospice in Kent.

Please note, my dedicated counselling room is in a private home and is sited next to the front door. The sessions are well-spaced to ensure client privacy. Free parking is available on the street outside.
