About me

PLEASE NOTE I OFFER SESSIONS WORKING FULLY REMOTELY VIA ZOOM ONLY

If you need someone independent to talk with and listen to you and help you understand your thoughts and feelings please contact me.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (FdA with Merit) and registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I've achieved accreditation status via BACP evidencing a high level of professionalism to my work.

At the heart of my practice is the understanding that our relationship is the key component for successful therapeutic outcomes. I have gained the knowledge that a tailored, individual approach is necessary in order to adhere to all specific needs.

Whilst many of us have supportive family and friends who can help with difficulties we face, at times, the closeness of these relationships can detract from our personal journey of growth and discovery. Whilst I appreciate that the thought of counselling may be a difficult step, we will walk the journey together. Offering a neutral perspective throughout sessions, we will explore any issues you wish to share. Providing a therapeutic relationship with honesty and empathy, we will explore any issue within a non-judgmental and confidential space at a pace which enables thorough reflection and scope for change.

I counsel clients on a self-referral basis or through a healthcare provider such as BUPA or an Employee Assisted Programme of therapeutic support. I am working with the Victim Support National Charity Agency supporting their clients at present.

Additionally, I have lectured at a University teaching counselling skills

PLEASE NOTE I WORK FULLY REMOTELY OFFERING SESSIONS BY ZOOM ONLY

I counsel adults only aged 18+

Our first session will give you the opportunity to talk through your current difficulties. I understand the first session can be a little daunting. I will listen and support you through this and I will advise on the type of therapy that I would initially start with and how I propose we can work together. I do understand though that whilst some people will enter into a series of sessions; some clients may only want a one-off session to explore some of their difficulties initially.

This initial session will also give us an opportunity to decide together whether I am the most suitable therapist to support you.
