About me

I'm an HCPC-registered Psychologist with a passion for supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. Over the years, I've worked across education, health, social care, and the charity sector. Alongside my private practice, I currently work as a Principal Psychologist within an NHS Mental Health Service.

My Approach

I believe the experiences we carry and the social worlds we grow up in shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. These influences often feel hiddenyet they can profoundly impact our identity, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

At a minimum, therapy should feel like a space where you can speak freely and feel heard. While there are many models and growing evidence about what works, therapy should never feel cold, manualised, or impersonal. It should support you in achieving your goals, with a clear focus, regular reviews, and space for your honest feedback.

I aim to create a space where you can explore what's going on for youwhether that's anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles, loss, or big questions about who you are and where you're headed. Together, we'll look not only at your current difficulties but also at the experiences, strengths, and hopes that make you who you are. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences, ease emotional distress, and build the capacity to move toward a life that feels genuine and fulfilling for you

I work at a pace that feels right for you supportive but gently challenging. While confidentiality is central, I also understand that sometimes involving parents, carers, or educators can help. With your permission, I can offer advice and consultation to those who support you.

Areas of interest

I work with young people (14-25) experiencing challenges such as:

Anxiety and depression
Relationship and family difficulties
Loss and grief
Life transitions (school, university, work)
Identity and self-esteem

I offer both individual and group psychotherapy.
My preferred therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, but I have the training, skills and experience to draw upon a range of psychological models to best meet your needs and goals.
