About me
I am Susie Townsend (she/her) and I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) registered with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies).
I have worked in mental health services since 2003 including acute, rehabilitation, community and primary care NHS, firstly as an Occupational Therapist then as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
I have extensive experience working with people aged 18+, who have symptoms of Depression, Low Self Esteem and Anxiety including, Social Anxiety, OCD, Health Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety and Worry, PTSD, Phobias, Panic, Emotional Eating and Long Term Health Conditions.
I have always held an interest in people, their lives, their experiences and how these have shaped
the person they become and their interactions and relationships with themselves and others.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of my work. I support individuals to identify
their goals and areas of their life that are limiting them in achieving a more fulfilling experience and to reduce symptoms that are causing distress. I look forward to supporting you on your therapy journey.
