About me

I am a warm and friendly Chartered Counselling Psychologist from North London. With over a decade of therapeutic experience and three postgraduate therapeutic trainings. Advanced trainings are inclusive of Cognitive Behaviour therapy, Counselling for Depression, and Specialist trauma training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). (All of which are recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE guidelines). I have also undertaken specialist bereavement training due to work in adult and children bereavements settings over a considerable period. I also have specialist training in assessing Autism and ADHD (ADOS-2/ ADI-R trainings). Broadly, I have special interests in neurodiversity and complex trauma.

I have extensive experience in the NHS and third sector and charitable organisations. I am knowledgeable, warm and flexible and cater therapy to a person's unique and individual needs. Therapy can either be structured or longer term depending on a person's goals and wishes. I hold deeply humanistic values and place much emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I always feel humbled and honoured to be able to bear witness to a person's internal world, distress but also strength and resilience. I see most people face to face in therapy rooms in Islington, London N1 (Upper Street and City Road) but can also accommodate to online sessions.
