About me

I am a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Knee surgery. I have performed over 5000 knee replacements and a 1500 ligament reconstructions since becoming a consultant in 2001 and carry out all types of knee replacement including total knee replacements , unicompartmental knee replacements, isolated patella femoral, revision knee replacements, high tibial osteotomy, ACL and PCL reconstruction.
I have a particular interest in younger adult arthritis and am part of the teaching faculty and visiting surgeon program for smith and nephew arthroplasty.
I teach on numerous national and international faculties covering subjects such as knee replacement and ligament reconstruction.
It is important that when a patient presents with a knee problem there are appropriately investigated and then the full range of the various options available to them are discussed. As my practice is solely based around knee problems I have the experience and surgical skills to be able to discuss with and offer the patient the full of options available.
