About me
I am a HCPC-accredited Clinical Psychologist (registration number PYL37618), and the Director of Verdure Psychology Ltd. I have current availability to take on new clients (aged 14 +) and I am able to offer face-to-face appointments in York, or virtual appointments nationwide (UK).
My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, but tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I believe in cultivating a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients, empowering people to become active participants in their journey towards better mental health. I always endeavour to go the extra mile to create a safe and non-judgmental space where people can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and develop effective strategies for change and growth.
In addition to CBT, I regularly incorporate strategies and tools from Compassion-Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Person-Centred Counselling into my practice.
Please note that I am unable to work with people at high levels of risk. This is because I believe it is safer in these circumstances for people to have the support of a specialist Multi-Disciplinary Team.
