About me

I am an experienced psychologist providing psychological and psychotherapeutic services to a wide range of people, ranging from adolescents to adults. I currently have my own practices based in Cheltenham and Broadway, North Cotswolds. I also work in secondary care for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust. My work involves carrying out complex psychological assessments; preparing psychological formulations; and providing a range of therapies.

I have extensive experience of working with adults, young adolescents and children.

I work with clients on a short or long term basis, who have experienced a range of issues and circumstances that impact their life. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have complex trauma.

As a counselling psychologist I have trained in a number of different modalities and take an integrative and relational approach to my work. My main modalities include relational psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, and cognitive behaviour therapy. I will also draw upon additional therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs if I feel this would be beneficial.

I am also a trauma specialist and practitioner of EMDR (eye movement de-sensitisation reprocessing) and a member of the EMDR Association UK & Ireland. Please refer to my website (www.kateguest.net) for more information about this therapy.
