About me
Mr Haider Kareem
Consultant Neurosurgeon & Spinal Surgeon
Mr Haider Kareem is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon with specialist expertise in minimally invasive spinal surgery (MISS). His practice is centred around advanced, tissue-preserving techniques, including endoscopic spinal surgery, tubular retractor systems, and minimally invasive spinal fusions, tailored to treat a broad spectrum of spinal conditions.
He has extensive experience in the management of complex spinal pathologies such as spinal tumours, degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, infections, fractures, and both neck and back pain. Mr Kareem's surgical approach prioritises precision, reduced tissue disruption, and enhanced recovery, aiming to minimise post-operative discomfort, shorten hospital stays, and facilitate a faster return to function.
For more than a decade, he has served at Imperial College NHS Trust, where he works across a Major Trauma Centre and Elective Neurosurgical Unit. This setting has afforded him considerable experience in both emergency and elective neurosurgical care, particularly in the areas of neurotrauma and complex spinal surgery.
Mr Kareem is committed to patient-centred, evidence-based care, utilising the most up-to-date innovations in spinal surgery to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
