About me
Ahmed Etman is a minimal access (laparoscopic and Robotic) Gynaecological Surgeon working in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust with a special interest in benign and oncology day case surgery.
Ahmed qualified from Cairo University, in 2006. He moved to the North East of England for his higher Obstetrics and Gynaecological training and was a Gynaecology Oncology Fellow at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. He joined Northumbria Healthcare NHSFT in 2018 and became the clinical lead for the service between 2020 - 2022. He started the successful robotic programme in 2021 that included only two Gynaecological Surgeons along other surgical specialities.
He is accredited in minimal access surgery by the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and in Colposcopy by the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
