About me

We are all bound to experience relational wounds, whether that happens in our attachment relationships with our parents or later on in life, in our romantic relationships. Sometimes we can integrate these wounds as part of life, but often they leave scars that impact our day-to-day life and future relationship dynamics. The hurt and pain experienced can affect our sense of self and it can create abandonment and other trauma-based responses. How we try to cope with our pain often causes more problems. Therapy with me helps you heal these wounds so that you can build loving, safe, and secure relationships with yourself and others.

I work using a mix of trauma-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Schema therapy as well as third wave approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). My approach is to help you understand historical patterns and how they affect you now so that we can focus on empowering you with emotional, cognitive and behavioural tools that help you break away from patterns that no longer serve you.

Starting therapy can be daunting but we can make the process easier by holding a no-obligation initial consultation where we can discuss what you are looking for and how I would be able to help you.
