About me
Hello, I'm Gareth.
I believe everyone deserves the chance to live a fulfilling and meaningful life even when things feel uncertain or overwhelming.
I'm an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 15 years' experience supporting adults and teenagers in private practice, NHS (Talking Therapies) services, hospital-based cancer care, university and specialist bereavement settings.
As an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I work within the BACP's ethical framework, maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing development to ensure you feel safe and supported.
My practice is trauma-informed, working sensitively with clients who have experienced relational, developmental, or situational trauma. I support people struggling with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, helping them regulate emotions, build self-compassion, and grow in confidence.
I also work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ clients and neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, Autism), offering an inclusive, non-judgemental space to explore identity, belonging, and self-acceptance.
Other areas of specialism include anxiety, grief and loss, relationship and family dynamics, workplace stress and burnout, and pre-trial therapy for those involved in legal proceedings or preparing to give evidence.
My integrative approach draws from a range of evidence-based models, allowing therapy to be shaped around your individual needs and life experiences helping you explore the past, understand the present, and move towards meaningful change.
I offer both in-person and online sessions, making therapy accessible and flexible to suit your lifestyle and comfort.
