About me

Mr. Magan is a distinguished and highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon with triple fellowship training, specializing in hip and knee surgery, as well as general orthopaedic trauma. His exceptional training includes prestigious institutions across the globe, such as leading centres in London, Cardiff, and Toronto, complemented by six years of invaluable experience on the Cambridge Rotation in the East of England. Renowned for his patient-centred approach, Mr. Magan combines extensive knowledge, technical expertise, and a compassionate commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Currently, Mr. Magan serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham, part of the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. In addition to his clinical role, he is the Clinical Governance Lead, where he is dedicated to advancing patient care, safety, and quality improvement. A testament to his innovative mindset, he established a pioneering day-case hip and knee replacement service, streamlining surgical processes and significantly enhancing patient experiences.

Mr. Magan is a respected specialist in orthopaedic surgery, particularly in hip and knee procedures, including sports-related injuries. His contributions to the field are widely recognized through numerous publications and presentations at international conferences. His research interests focus on optimizing recovery and return to sports following hip and knee surgery, reflecting his dedication to improving long-term patient outcomes.

A passionate educator, Mr. Magan has lectured at esteemed institutions such as the University of Southampton, the University of Toronto, University College London (UCL), and the University of Cambridge. His commitment to advancing surgical techniques is further demonstrated by his certification as a fully accredited robotic MAKO surgeon, utilizing cutting-edge robotic-assisted technology since 2020 to achieve precision and improved results in hip and knee replacement and revision surgeries.
