About me
Over 30 years of clinical and surgical experience in three continents with sub-speciality training in cornea and refractive surgery. Initial training in India was followed by the Yorkshire Registrar Rotation in the United Kingdom. The prestigious Iris Fund Research Fellowship in 1991 at St. Thomas’ Hospital London led to a swathe of significant publications in the field of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. An Academic Senior Registrar position at the University of Oxford preceded a clinical fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery in London and the United States in 1996. In 1997 appointed as a Substantive NHS consultant at the Hull Royal Infirmary, Hull. Currently practicing as an independent consultant specialising in cataract, corneal and refractive surgery.
A frequent lecturer at national and international surgical meetings. Honoured by peers with invitations to demonstrate surgical techniques at numerous international meetings. Design, delivery and direction of numerous national and international courses on cataract and refractive surgery on a regular basis are an important aspect of his professional life.
