About me

Does life feel difficult at the moment?
Is it hard to talk to others about what you are experiencing?
Are you looking for help?

If you feel tense, irritable, hopeless or upset much of the time,
are having trouble sleeping,
or fear being overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, anger, sadness or grief,
then counselling or psychotherapy could help.

As a an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I provide confidential and non-judgemental support in exploring what is going on in your life. You can talk about whatever is troubling you, and how it might be affecting your wellbeing and your relationships with others.

I offer short-term counselling support which focuses on recent or specific difficulties which may be affecting your quality of life - such as change, transition or loss, experiences which may involve work, family or relationships.

Longer-term psychotherapy explores more deep-rooted or recurring problems - in a collaborative process we work together to understand and heal old wounds, and to recognise when past experiences may be continuing to affect beliefs and reactions in the present. It can be freeing to let go of behaviours and ideas which no longer serve you, and therapy can help you to develop more helpful habits and responses, supporting you to fulfil your potential and live a more contented life.

I work with adults of all ages, and with young people aged 16+.

Alongside my private practice I was a counsellor for several years at the Student Counselling Service at Royal Holloway University of London, and for the Windsor & Maidenhead Youth and Community Counselling Service. I am also a qualified yoga teacher with 15 years' experience of teaching yoga and relaxation, and can offer mindfulness and breathing practices to help alleviate anxiety and stress. I work holistically, paying attention to the signals of the body and physical health alongside emotions and thought patterns.

I understand the pressures of a demanding workplace, having previously worked in a complex managerial role for a large corporation, responsible for multiple teams across a busy 24/7 environment.

I offer video and telephone consultations.
