About me

Life can be overwhelming at times, and navigating emotional challenges alone can feel daunting. Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings, gain clarity, and find solutions that work for you. My role is to support you in understanding your emotions, improving your relationshipsincluding the one with yourselfand creating meaningful change in your life.

Through therapy, you can develop deeper self-awareness, learn to manage emotions more effectively, and build healthier connections with others. By gaining insight into the mechanisms behind your behaviours, you empower yourself to make informed choices and move forward with confidence.

Every counselling session is built on trust, respect, honesty, and openness. You are not just a client; you are an active partner in the therapeutic process. I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and acceptedwithout judgment. The work we do together is guided by your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

No two people are the same, which is why I take an individual approach to therapy. Whether you are facing personal struggles, relationship difficulties, loss, anxiety, or life transitions, our work together will focus on finding solutions that suit your circumstances. I believe that every person has the ability to heal and regain a sense of balance, and counselling is one of the ways to rediscover that inner strength.

With experience in a variety of settingsincluding private practice, organisations in Scunthorpe, Doncaster, and York, and higher education institutionsI bring a wealth of knowledge to our sessions. I have worked with Relate The Relationship People, supporting individuals and couples in strengthening their relationships, and Cruse Bereavement Care, helping those experiencing complex grief. My background ensures that you receive expert guidance tailored to your needs.

To provide the highest level of support, I continuously expand my knowledge through specialist training, courses, and workshops. My work adheres to the ethical codes of the **British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)** and **The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)**, and I receive regular supervision from a certified professional to maintain the quality and integrity of my practice.

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a space to talk, you don't have to face it alone. Counselling offers a pathway to greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and lasting transformation. Whether you are seeking guidance for yourself or a loved one, support is available.

Your journey towards a healthier, more fulfilling life starts here.
