About me

I am a passionate and warm Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, registered with the HCPC and eligible for membership with the British Psychological Society.

I work with adults navigating emotional, relational, and physical challenges, offering therapy in both English and Italian. I warmly welcome clients who have relocated from Italy and understand what it can mean to build a life between cultures.

I work integratively, tailoring therapy to the unique needs, experiences, and goals of each person I meet. The first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore the difficulties bringing you to therapy, and consider together whether we feel like a good fit. From there, we collaboratively develop therapeutic goals and identify approaches that feel meaningful and supportive for you.

I believe healing happens through connection — when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and met as you are. At the heart of my work is a deep curiosity about your inner world and what your experiences mean for you. I move at your pace, valuing your voice, autonomy, and lived experience throughout the therapeutic process.

The therapeutic relationship is central to my practice. I work relationally and view the therapeutic alliance as an essential foundation for healing and change. Together, we create a warm, compassionate, and containing space where you can safely explore both the difficulties you are facing and the more sensitive or vulnerable aspects of your experience.

I am committed to providing an inclusive, non-pathologising, and neuro-affirming space. I work with cultural humility and do not assume there is one "normal" way of thinking, feeling, relating, or being in the world.

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and embodied. Rather than simply talking about difficulties, we work together to make sense of your experiences by attending not only to thoughts, but also to emotions, bodily sensations, relational patterns, and lived experience.

My practice is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a compassionate and non-pathologising model that understands the mind as made up of different "parts," each carrying its own feelings, beliefs, and protective roles. IFS offers a powerful framework for understanding why we think, feel, and behave as we do, while supporting the development of a more caring and connected relationship with ourselves.

Alongside IFS, I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches according to your individual needs, including:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) — exploring the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

• Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) — developing self-compassion, particularly where self-criticism or shame are present.

• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) — building skills in emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

• Psychodynamic approaches — exploring recurring emotional and relational patterns and their roots in earlier experiences.

• Polyvagal-informed interventions — supporting nervous system regulation through awareness, movement, breath, and connection.
