About me

I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working with people in distress both within the NHS and private practice. Over the past 15 years’ I have been working as a qualified psychologist in the NHS supporting children, young people and families who are experiencing a range of emotional difficulties. Privately, I work across the lifespan offering therapeutic support to adults, adolescents, children and couples.

Clinical psychologists are trained to a high level to use the most up to date and extensively researched therapies to support you to make sense of your difficulties and find ways to live a more contented life. I am a firm believer that each of us has the capacity to transform our lives and our relationships with the support of a good therapist.

Areas of interest

I work with complex issues including, but not limited to aggression, anxiety/fearfulness, depression, developmental delay/divergence, grief, low self-esteem, mild to moderate self-harm and suicidal ideation, parenting, physical health issues, relationship/couple issues, school phobias social withdrawal and trauma.

After a brief assessment, we will come up with a plan for therapy that will move you towards your goals.

I enjoy using a variety of mediums including family work, play-based approaches, EMDR, as well as the more traditional one to one talking therapies. If you are looking for someone to support your family through a challenging time, help you to manage a difficult time, work towards achieving a more contented life or wanting to improve your relationship as a couple then do get in touch.
