About me

Dr. Thomas Medveczky is a highly experienced and accomplished consultant with a focus on respiratory medicine and general medicine.

With over 18 years of experience, he has provided exceptional care to patients facing complex respiratory and general/internal medicine conditions. Dr. Medveczky’s expertise is in diagnosis and treatment of Asthma, COPD, Breathlessness and Long- COVID.
He has led a specialist Airways Disease Service, looking after difficult to treat patients with asthma, COPD and breathlessness. The service saw over 1000+ patients per year, offering wide range of diagnostics with modern radiology, endoscopy and multidisciplinary support for the patients.

He continues to work at one of the world’s leading heart and lungs centre and undoubtedly Britain’s most famous lung hospital - the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where he provides clinical advice alongside national experts,

In his clinical practice Dr Medveczky combines the experience of work in large teaching and University centres as well as local general hospitals, offering a breadth of knowledge and experience of respiratory and medical conditions.

He was one of the first Consultants in the country to treat COVID patients. He led the pandemic response in his hospital, treating hundreds of severe cases at the frontline on the wards and high dependency care, acquiring extensive clinical experience in management of acute COVID infection and post- COVID respiratory complications.

Having lived in many countries, Dr Medveczky has experienced medical practice in Poland and Germany and speaks fluent German, Polish and is comfortable in Russian.

Consultations can be both face-to-face in state of the art hospital facility in Brighton or per video from the comfort of your own home - anywhere in the world.

He worked at the frontline of the COVID pandemic, treating over 1500 patients with COVID acquiring significant expertise in acute and long-term effects of COVID.
