Miss Serena Ceraldi is a highly experienced Consultant Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital in London, affiliated with the Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. Since her graduation from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2003, she has gained a wealth of experience and expertise in her field.

Miss Ceraldi currently holds the role of Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Surgeon, and she brings her exceptional skills and knowledge when providing care to her patients. Her commitment to patient care and surgical excellence is evident in her patient outcomes.

Miss Ceraldi's expertise shines particularly in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, with a special focus on Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Miss Ceraldi is committed to global surgery and medical volunteering. With a one-year engagement in Malawi through VSO, she significantly impacted local healthcare, both as a Consultant Surgeon at the capital's government hospital and as a dedicated educator at the College of Health Sciences.

Miss Ceraldi has also volunteered her medical expertise in Mexico, India, and Kenya. Her strong passion for teaching led her to found CAST (Croydon Academy of Surgical Training) in her workplace, creating a connection between surgical trainees in London and Malawi, fostering a global learning environment.

Her dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility further sets Miss Ceraldi apart. As the Surgical Sustainability lead at Croydon University Hospital, she is pioneering efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and promote eco-conscious practices in the operating room.
