About me

Emily is a Counselling Psychologist whose curiosity into the human experience led her into the world of mental health. Working primarily with adults, Emily approaches therapy from a goal-oriented space that seeks to explore and make sense of challenging experiences and emotions. She particularly enjoys behavioural-based work as she sees great value in implementing practical strategies to achieve meaningful and lasting change. Emily primarily uses techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Positive Psychology (among others) to explore, understand and empower. She enjoys the many personalities that walk into a therapy room, and welcomes the softly-spoken to the loud and quirky. She tends to work best with those who like warmth, humour and a gentle push in the right direction.

Emily is an Australian-trained Psychologist with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She regularly engages in ongoing professional development, with a keen interest in anxiety and mood disorders and relationship challenges, among other areas.
