About me
I am a passionate Doctor of Clinical Psychology and have worked 15 years in mental health services working with adults, children, young people and families. I enjoy getting to know individuals and finding what works well for them. I do this through using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailor my intervention to each individual. I offer both adult and child cognitive assessments which can provide a learning profile demonstrating strengths and areas of difficulty.
The therapeutic approaches that I draw upon include CBT, systemic family therapy, cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) as well as developmental and attachment theories. My therapeutic approach is client-centred, non-judgemental and compassionate which allows me to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to work on achieving meaningful change.
I understand that difficulties can be experienced in relation to life events such as pressures attached to day to day life (work, school etc.), in the perinatal period, relationship changes as well as in relation to difference including neurodiversity, culture and gender identity. I work with clients to explore the impact of these events on them.
