About me
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist specialising in health and emotions. If you are living with persistent health or emotional symptoms that just don't seem to go away and are finding life hard, I am here to help. I have specialisms in the management of and adjusting to a range of health conditions (pain, fatigue, long covid, functional symptoms, IBS, cancer, diabetes, neurological conditions), as well as managing stress, anxiety, depression, ptsd and most other emotions that show up when life is tough. I work hard to help you to feel and live better both emotionally and physically.
I have worked within a variety of settings in the NHS since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2009, including working as a Consultant within the NHS. As a result I have a lot of experience in successfully treating many difficulties with psychological therapies.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) (EMDR therapist), Compassion focused therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I am approachable, warm and down-to-earth. I understand that taking that first step to get help is hard but believe firmly that with the right support everyone can get back on track. I recognize that everyone is unique and so they need a thoughtful, tailored approach to get the most from therapy.
