About me

Chartered Counselling Psychologist

HCPC Registered (PYL38089) | EMDR & IFS Trained

I'm a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with 15 years of experience working with adults and young people (age 12-18) facing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, with a particular focus on trauma and the impact of early life experiences.

I'm trained in both Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) two models that support deeper, lasting change by going beyond traditional talking therapy.

IFS is a compassionate and collaborative way of working with the different parts of ourselves for example, the part that feels anxious, overwhelmed, self-critical or shut down. Rather than pushing these parts away, IFS helps people understand and support them, often leading to more inner calm and clarity.

EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic or distressing memories using eye movements or similar techniques. It's especially helpful when people feel stuck with the emotional residue of past experiences, even if they understand them rationally.

I place strong emphasis on the role of the body and nervous system in psychological healing. Often, we can bypass the overthinking mind by tuning into the body, allowing space for deeper integration and recovery.

I practice from a spacious and calming room in central Bristol, just off Gloucester Road. My approach is thoughtful, respectful and collaborative aiming to offer a safe space where you can explore whatever feels important, at your pace.
