Dr Taylan Yukselen
Consultant Psychiatrist | Private & NHS Specialist | Holistic Mental Health Care

With over a decade of experience helping people navigate complex emotional and psychological challenges, I understand that no two journeys are the same. I'm Dr Taylan Yukselen, a Consultant Psychiatrist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. I am a Neuropsychitrist and also specialise in Liaison Psychiatry. I lead Neuropsychiatry services within the Neurorehabilitation pathway. I also offer private consultations to support individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, dmentia, cognitive and neuropsychiatric conditions, and more.

My approach is human-first: integrated, compassionate, holistic and truly person-centred. I take the time to understand you�not just your symptoms. Whether you're dealing with a recent life change, long-standing mental health issues, or the psychological impact of physical illness, I work collaboratively to find the right treatment tailored to your needs. I believe mental and physical health are deeply connected and advocate integrated mental health care. My approach reflects that understanding.

Having completed my psychiatric training at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry and the Maudsley, Bethlem, and Guy's Hospitals, I bring a wealth of experience and evidence-based approach to treatment. I'm accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and listed on the GMC Specialist Register with sub-specialist expertise in Liaison Psychiatry.

Outside of clinical work, I'm passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors. As a GMC-recognised trainer, I supervise medical students and resident doctors, and have contributed to academic research, especially in psychopharmacology and the psychiatric aspects of complex medical conditions like HIV.
