About me

Mr Manoukian qualified from University of Patras-Greece, School of Health Sciences Medical school in 2004. He subsequently underwent orthopaedic training both in Greece and UK. He undertook Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowships at Birmingham Childrens Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
He has been awarded a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health (University College London) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (University of East London).
After completing his fellowships, Mr Manoukian was appointed as a Consultant at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge NHS Trust, before moving to a joint Consultant post between the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust and Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.
Mr Manoukian has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at both national and international meetings. He also participates regularly in training higher surgical trainees in the diagnosis and management of paediatric orthopaedic problems.
Mr Manoukian has an active research interest participating in National and International studies as Principal Investigator or collaborator.
Outside work Mr Manoukian likes spending time with his young family. He is a keen basketball and tennis player and also trained in 110-metre hurdles. He is a true believer of the benefits of regular exercise and healthy Mediterranean diet.

Areas of interest

Mr Manoukian's practice is dedicated to the treatment of general paediatric and adolescent orthopaedic/musculoskeletal problems, including: Hip dysplasia, Congenital talipes equinovarus, Guided growth, Skeletal dysplasia and trauma. He has developed a specialist interest in sports injuries, especially knee problems, including patella instability (recurrent patella dislocations), meniscal pathology and cruciate ligament reconstruction.
