About me

I am a UKCP and BACP registered psychodynamic psychotherapist, offering long term and short term therapy.

I provide a non-judgemental and supportive space for clients to speak safely and in confidence. I regard therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to explore what has led you to this point and enable you to discover new ways forward.

My approach is psychodynamic, which draws on the understanding that our present emotional difficulties often stem from patterns established in our past. When we repeat those patterns without understanding them, we can feel stuck, out of control, empty or disconnected from ourselves and others.

By talking together to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions, we can shed light on these patterns, enabling you to see present emotional difficulties in a new way. As this new understanding develops, you can be relieved of the uncomfortable feelings and symptoms; over time, this insight enables you to do things differently and to bring about lasting change, resilience and growth.

I offer both time limited and open ended therapy. It may be you are facing an immediate change in your life and are looking for short term support, working with a specific focus. It may be a more deep-rooted difficulty, which would benefit from a more in-depth, open ended approach.

I have experience of helping clients with a broad range of issues, including:
anxiety, low confidence or self-esteem, depression, relationship or work difficulties, the impact of trauma and loss.
