About me

I'm Jill.

I am a warm and conscientious BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist.

My therapeutic approach is Integrative. I have a Diploma in Counselling (2010) and a Master of Science Degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (2013) both from the University of Salford.

I have completed training in other therapy modalities including Outdoor Therapy, Coaching, Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Single-Session Therapy (SST). I have done extensive continuous professional development and training to work with anxiety disorders, domestic abuse, grief and loss, long-term physical health conditions, menopause, sleep issues, and suicidal feelings.

I have more than 15 years' experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, working in a full time capacity. During that time I have worked in a variety of settings and organisations: Hospice Palliative Care and Bereavement Services, NHS Occupational Health, Mental Health Charities and at a GP Practice.?

I have previous experience as Manager of a BACP Accredited Counselling Service and also 20 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
