About me

I have worked in mental health services in the NHS in the UK since 2002, supporting people presenting with a range of psychological difficulties. Once trained as a social worker, and I had worked in frontline mental health services for many years. My experiences of supporting people in difficult situations at the time sparked my passion in working therapeutically with my clients, especially those with chronic and/or life-changing health conditions. This has led to me pursuing a career in clinical psychology.

I am registered with the Health and Professional Care Council (HCPC). I am trained in several therapeutic modalities:

-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

The psychological difficulties I work with, including depression, anxiety, coping skills, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and post-traumatic stress/psychological trauma.

Areas of interest

Over the years, I have worked in various clinical health services, including burns and plastics, respiratory, cancer and HIV services. I am passionate in working with people presenting with:

-Life-changing physical health conditions

-Physical health care-related psychological trauma (e.g. difficult surgeries and/or treatments)

-Difficulties caring for family members who are experiencing ongoing health problems.

I primarily offer online therapy but I can offer limited face-to-face sessions in South Manchester. Please send me a message to discuss how I can support you.
