About me

I am an HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist and BABCP Registered CBT Psychotherapist with 15 years' experience in mental health. I have been trained in different models of therapy (psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT) and use elements of cognitive analytic therapy and compassion focused therapy to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet my clients' needs. Above and beyond differences in theoretical approach, I focus on creating a caring and containing space where distressing feelings and thoughts can be shared and understood.

Areas of interest

I work with adults with a broad presentation of difficulties. These include relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression, childhood and early trauma, unhelpful coping strategies. I have a particular interest in working with grief and loss, and supporting people build their self esteem through developing assertiveness.
