About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have been studying and working in the field of psychology and mental health for 20 years. I have worked in a range of settings with people of all ages and backgrounds who are struggling with a wide range of difficulties. I have experience of working in the NHS and in University settings in clinical research roles.

Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2016, I have specialised in working with children, young people and their families. I have worked in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) where I worked with children and young people experiencing a broad range of psychological difficulties such as anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Before leaving the NHS to set up my private practice, I was the Lead for a Paediatric Psychology Service where I worked with children and young people diagnosed with physical health conditions, such as diabetes and epilepsy. I have particular interests in anxiety, depression and helping children and families adjust to and cope with living with long-term chronic health conditions.

I am trained to use a number of different psychological models and therapies in my work but have a particular interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
