About me
I am a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialist in upper limb surgery. My NHS practice is based in the renowned Rowley Bristow Orthopaedic Unit, Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals, Chertsey.
My area of expertise is all aspect of upper limb surgery: shoulder, elbow, hands and wrist surgery. I treat sports injuries, wear and tear conditions and trauma injuries. This includes all keyhole procedure of the shoulder, elbow, hands and wrist, shoulder replacement surgery and complex trauma reconstructions.
I completed my undergraduate training at St. George’s Hospital, University of London and my specialist orthopaedic training in Southeast London rotation. Furthermore, I undertook two prestigious Upper Limb fellowships in complex upper limb reconstruction and sport surgery in two of the busiest trauma centres in the UK, Kings College Hospital and St. Georges Healthcare.
I also completed a stand-alone trauma fellowship in complex trauma reconstruction in general and upper limb trauma.
I won numerous awards including the BOA travelling fellowship where I visited the Mayo clinic USA and the EFORT travelling fellowship in Switzerland. Both are world class centres at the forefront of upper limb surgery.
I have published widely in the medical literature and led many research and quality improvement projects in all aspect of trauma and orthopaedics.
I am a member of the General Medical Council, British Orthopaedic Association, British Elbow and Shoulder Society, British Society for Surgery of the Hand and a committee member of the orthopaedic section in the Royal Society of Medicine.
I provide patient-centred care and a shared-decision approach to treatment supported by colleagues from radiology, nursing, physiotherapy and other allied health departments. I offer my patients a bespoke service to ensure a successful treatment outcome.
