About me
Mr Goodson is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon subspecialising in Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery and Implants for Total Dental Rehabilitation. He also holds a strong portfolio in:
- Head & Neck Surgery (Benign and Malignant Tumour Removal and Reconstruction), ranging from small skin lesions to complex major head and neck surgery
- Salivary gland disease, including both minimally invasive endoscopic techniques and open surgery)
With world-leading clinical and research expertise in patient-specific solutions for facial reconstruction, culminating in a PhD in 3D-printed titanium cranio-maxillofacial implants, he has developed and patented advanced reconstructive technology and surgical techniques that improve accuracy, efficiency and performance of jaw bone reconstruction after cancer removal.
Youngest ever consultant elected through national poll in 2020 into a senior (core council) role for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a core member of Head and Neck, Oculoplastic and Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary teams in Portsmouth and on the Isle of Wight.
