About me
Mr Myutan Kulendran is a Consultant General Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St Georges University Hospital, London.
Mr Kulendrans major areas of interest are bariatric (weight loss) surgery, hiatus hernia and anti-reflux surgery. As a high volume bariatric surgeon, he is experienced in performing all minimally invasive bariatric operations including sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass.
He routinely performs revisional surgery for weight regain and complications following bariatric surgery for both UK and international patients, and is a member of the bariatric multi-disciplinary team meetings at St Georges Hospital. Mr Kulendran is a member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society.
He is also developing the robotic upper gastrointestinal and endoscopic bariatric services at St George’s Hospital to ensure patients receive the latest treatments.
His higher surgical training was in South London mainly at St George’s Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital focusing on Upper GI and Hepatobiliary surgery. He then went onto do a high volume bariatric fellowships at Homerton Hospital in London before taking his Consultant post in 2021.
Mr Kulendran is on the Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons for higher surgical training and is a designated trainer for senior bariatric Fellows in London.
