About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in work with children, adolescents, parents, families and young adults. I have worked in NHS psychological services for over 10 years including roles at Birmingham Children's Hospital and the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
I currently split my working time between private practice and the NHS where I work at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a Principal Paediatric Clinical Psychologist and Lead of the Dermatology Psychology team.
I have expertise in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic treatment of a range of psychological and developmental issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, adjustment to chronic or life-limiting medical diagnosis, trauma, eating disorders, social communication challenges including Autism, difficulties of attention and hyperactivity and associated behaviour problems.
I specialise in working with individuals and families living with chronic medical conditions, particularly those living with skin, hair and nail conditions. In addition to my work with families facing medical illness, I work with parents and infants in the neonatal period and with children and adolescents facing mental health difficulties.
