About me
I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS across a variety of specialist settings, including work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have also worked in specialist services for people with physical health difficulties, learning disabilities, and family support.
I draw on a number of approaches and ideas in my work to facilitate a supportive and collaborative relationship towards change. I often use a systemic approach, which understands current difficulties in relation to your unique context and the relationships in your life. Part of this approach means developing a rich picture of your circumstances to better connect to the resources available to you and find new ways forward.
Seeking therapy can be a difficult decision and often takes a great deal of courage. I believe therapy can benefit many aspects of our lives through discovering new perspectives and possibilities. In our meetings, I hope to create a collaborative relationship where we can engage in genuine, open and honest dialogue so that new meanings about your life and relationships can emerge. This will include a warm, compassionate and curious stance towards the concerns you bring. I offer a therapeutic style that encourages continuous feedback to ensure we are both working towards the same aim, and can adjust my approach to best support you.
