About me
I am a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience working in mental health services and trauma services.
I currently work in an NHS Maternal Mental Health service and independent practice. I specialise in working with a range of trauma. In my perinatal work I specialise in working with difficulties such as birth trauma, pregnancy loss, baby loss, fear of childbirth and any perinatal related difficulties that have an impact on your emotional wellbeing. I can support you in your journey to parenthood, exploring experiences of adjusting to new parenthood and growing families. I have had additional training in fertility related difficulties, and also specialise in working with same sex couples in the perinatal period.
In addition to my perinatal work I can offer EMDR and trauma informed approaches for working with a wide range of traumatic experiences and loss.
I use an integrative approach in my therapeutic work drawing upon principles from a range of models to meet your individual needs including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Approaches and Attachment/Systemic Approaches.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
I know that starting your therapy journey can be a daunting experience, so am happy to offer a brief consultation first to ensure that I am the right therapy for you.
